The People’s Front for Freedom (PFF), a political group preparing for the 2026 general elections, has released its nomination fees for candidates who wish to contest under its name.
The announcement was made by the party’s Acting Electoral Commission Manager, Hon. Michael Kabaziguruka.
According to him, those interested in standing for president will be required to pay UGX 2.5 million. Candidates for Member of Parliament or Kampala Lord Mayor will each pay UGX 500,000.
Mayors from towns outside Kampala will pay UGX 250,000. Those interested in Local Government positions will pay UGX 10,000 for LC3 Councillor positions and UGX 25,000 for LC5 Councillor positions.
Hon. Kabaziguruka said that expression of interest forms will be available from tomorrow at the party’s coordination office on Katonga Road. These forms will allow those interested to formally show their wish to stand in the 2026 elections on the PFF ticket.
- The release of fees and forms is part of the group’s plan to prepare early and encourage participation at different leadership levels. The fees for local council positions have been set at a level that may be affordable for many at the community level.
